We started dating in May 2009. Sean graduated from Bennington that June, and got a job as a para-educator at a local elementary school so he could be close to Sara while she continued to work on her degree.

Sara graduated from Bennington in June 2011 and then moved to Concord, NH to be close to Sean while he finished his teaching certification.

After having simultaneous plans to propose to each other on the same day, Sean beat Sara to the punch and we were engaged on November 6, 2011. You can watch a video of our engagement here (the funny outfits and crowd of rowdy men are a result of our airsoft hobby).

Things To Do (June 22nd - 24th)

The Granite State Music Festival (first ever!) is in town the same weekend as our wedding. Check out granitestatemusicfest.org for more information.

A Midsummer’s Night Magic is taking place Friday, June 22nd in downtown Concord (Sara’s helping plan it, actually!) and it will be a magical event, where shops bring their wares outside (and stay open late), street performers, a dog parade and an outdoor showing of “Labyrinth”!

Sean & Sara’s Favorites

Breakfast: Our favorite meal! There aren’t many diners in Concord, but Corner View Cafe is the best. Skip the coffee, though, and stop by True Brew Barista (Sara’s work) for the best cup in town.

Lunch: Take a walk to Puppy Love, a hot dog stand located downtown. Cash only, but $2.25 buys you a hot dog with unlimited toppings!

Dinner: Either Old Europe on Main St. for fancy (and spendy) Mediterranean style food, or Margaritas on Warren St. for good ole USA style Mexican food (fun fact: Sara was a waitress there for about two seconds) or O’s also on Main St. for (again, spendy) lobster mac ‘n’ cheese.

Warm Weather Activity: The conservation swimming hole is a great place to go take a dip in the river. If you swim half way out there is a mostly submerged sand dune to stand on and you can walk up and down the river! Ask us (or any local) for directions.

Bar: Our most frequented bar is actually outside of Salem, NH, which is a 45 minute drive south, but for a local brew check out True Brew Barista (again, Sara’s work and the location of the wedding!) or try The Barley House (across from the state house).

Ice Cream: Sean will tell you to go to Granite State Candy, and Sara will tell you it’s way too rich and send you up Loudon Road to Arnie’s Ice Cream. Both feature local, homemade ice cream and both are delicious.

Shopping: The Goodwill of NNE on Loudon Road is Sara’s favorite Goodwill of them all. Sara also volunteers at the Family Outfitters Thrift Store on South Main Street, which is conveniently located across the street from Gibson’s Bookstore (another favorite).

Theater: One of our favorite things to do is go to the movies. For the latest popular flick go up Loudon Road to the Cineplex or walk down main street to Red River Theater for independent or hard-to-find movies.

RECEPTION & DETAILS!

In the case of bad weather the wedding will be held in the same location, just inside True Brew Barista instead of in the square outside.

There is free parking downtown on Sundays, and a parking garage directly across the street from the Square.

Wedding attire is garden-party casual, and if you would like to we encourage you to wear floral patterns! Well, Sara does. Sean will not be wearing florals. No jeans, please!

The reception is dessert & drinks. We will be serving beer, wine, soft drinks & lemonade. Please come prepared with your ID and a designated driver if you plan to have beer and/or wine.
